But we don't carry large stocks of every colour, so we order them in from our suppliers on a "just-in-time" (JIT) basis, which can add 48 hours to production times.
But on a day to day basis there are shortages of some colours due to supply problems .... with shortage of containers in Thailand and India, logistics [both within UK with driver shortages and at sea where, believe it or not, the Suez Canal seems to once again having problems after the blockage of a couple of years ago] and then space and industrial problems at our major ports, including Felixstowe where our mugs normally arrive. So ships are waiting to be called in to port as and when space becomes available to unload them. It's annoying to think that mugs we need are sitting in the North Sea or diverted to Rotterdam. At the moment the Cambridge and Light Blues are in very short supply.
