MUGS FOR THE SOUTH EAST

Rugby Clubs in South East England have been busy buying mugs for their supporters. Brentwood, Hitchin, Harpenden, Teddington, Old Emanuel and Hertford have all been supplied this week.

The Home Counties is a strong rugby playing area where the Clubs have strong adult profile, with a good structure of mini and junior age groups giving rugby a long term future.  Interesting that most of the Clubs also sport strong veterans teams too.

The GILLS CHRISTMAS MUG

gills-xmas-for-news-pageGreat sales for Gillingham Football Clubs Christmas Mug has meant a quick re-order in time for the next home match.

The Gills won well in the FA Cup at the weekend beating Southend United and have now drawn Burton Albion.

In a previous life we lived in the Medway Towns and for a time were regular watchers of Gillingham, so its great to be supplying the Club.

But the link goes a bit further. Burton player Andy Corbett is a near neighbour of ours and went to school with one of our kids.  In fact his Mum is a customer too in her own business, so we are a bit torn - but business is business so COME ON THE GILLS.

BARNSLEY FOOTBALL CLUB

We are proud to be supplying Championship side Barnsley with mugs.  The latest order was on a tight deadline but we managed to deliver in time for their Monday night televised match with Sheffield United.

Naturally we watched and supported “our” side.

Two great goals from Barnsley - two rather dubious  penalties for The Blades made the game a 2-2 draw.

However we mustn’t show any bias - after all United might need mugs in the future - but we always will support our customers.

And looking at the picture - we think it was a pretty good looking mug !!!!

FLYING MUGS

RM Aviation based near Hull came up with some great photo’s for their new promotional mug.  Nice to see the flyers still ordering - it’s not an area where we felt there was a lot of scope but so far we had orders from 6 flying clubs and two flying businesses.

FA Cup Mugs @ Nuneaton

Not a great result for our FA Cup team at Nuneaton Town who played Exeter City but valiently lost 4-0 to a team five divisions above them.  However, with their souvenir mug in hand,  supporters will have have a reminder of the day when their newly reformed Club in Nuneaton played an FA Cup first round tie.

MUGS ON TV

Friday night - Watching BBC regional news programme MIDLANDS TODAY, on came to sports news featuring the FA Cup tie between non-league Stourbridge (who had qualified for the 1st round for the first time in their 133 year history) and Walsall.  We watched the item as we had designed and supplied a special mug for the occasion - and were delighted to see it featured three times within the presentation.

MUGS 4 CLUBS

HALLOWEEN - Two of our valued customers played out a 2-2 draw last night.  Managerless Grimsby Town (not great for our sales as one of our mugs supplied featured recently sacked Mike Newell)  played the famous for milk but now famous for football mugs,  Accrington Stanley.
