An interesting development in products supplied by Mugworks has been small jigsaws.

The 35 piece team picture supplied to Lincoln City Football Club went down well at the Club Shop when they arrived with a supply of computer accessory Mouse Mats.

The FA Cup started last weekend with the Preliminary Round - which preceeds even he Qualifying round. So we can congratuloate Mugworks customers Bishops Cleeve, Ossett Albion and Tilbury on getting past this first hurdle on the way to Wembley while comisterating with our friends at Tavistock and also Brantham Athletic, knocked out by another Mugworks customer St Neots Town.

Great to see one of our products featured on a SKY NEWS report. A feature on Milton Keynes, run throughout the day, ended with a lingering shot on our I LOVE MK Mug. A really good boost to our ego’s even if nobody knows we produced it - except you of course.

Ranelagh Harriers organise the annual Richmond 10k run with over 650 particpants,

We are giving no secrets away if we say our first commercial order was from an old friend of Whitbourne Mugworks, Rushden & Diamonds Football Club who came close to getting back their place in the Football League just a few days ago. But because it is so new, in fact not due for despatch until June 1st, the customer hasn’t seen it yet and it would be a little unfair to show the world before they see it.

A BAD DAY FOR MUGWORKS CUSTOMERS

Our commiserations go to Mugworks customers GRIMSBY TOWN, AIRDRIE UNITED and GILLINGHAM both who suffered relegation this weekend - in Gillinghams case losing 3-0 but having the agony of going down only by goal difference as Exeter scored in the final minutes of their match to take them out of the relegation zone and plunge Gillingham into it.

Better news as COWDENBETH qualified for the promotion play-off final in Scotlands Division II and KILMARNOCK who drew 0-0 with Falkirk to save themselves and stay in the Premier League.

CRICKET IS BACK - 125 YEARS OLD

Davenham Cricket Club in Cheshire, in their 125th anniversary season, were adventurous enough to try our new money banks alongside their new mug.

The result has been a set that not only celebrates their 125th year but is a great fund raiser for the Club.

And we are quite pleased with the design too.

KIMBER MILLS

A great opportunity for Mug Works was to design and produce a mug for Kimber Mills Forgings - an industrial firm based in the Black Country and Coventry.

We think the mug came out well as the contrast of moulton metal on the black background gave the mug a real punch.

THE MUGWORKS SIX’S

New mugs for Barnsley Football Club didn’t do them a lot of good this weekend as they lost 6-1 at Newcastle United. Still the consolation is new mugs in the Club Shop this week.

However, the reverse at St James Park was made up for by The Blue Brazil - Cowdenbth FC who put six past local rivals East Fife.

And we must congratulate GRIMSBY TOWN, who today have WON at last after a run of (I believe) 26 games without a victory - a Club record - with a 3-0 victory over Shrewsbury Town. Hopefully “The Mariners” who are one of Mugworks top customers in terms of volume, will be able to put a run together and get away from those relegation spots.
